Dhaka, July 14: Defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi continued their winning spree in the Manyvar Bangladesh Premier League beating Team BJMC 3-1 at the Bangbandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Sheikh Jamak took the lead in the 4th minute when midfielder Sohel Rana provided a clinical finishing from the middle of the box, receiving a cross of Wedson Anselme, Sohel ÂÂ Rana sent the ball into the near post with a cool placing shot (1-0).
Jamal’s Haitian forward Wedson was unfortunate in the 25th minute when his cracking right footer hit the side post of BJMC goalie Himel.
However BJMC skipper Samsom Ilyasu, ,made ÂÂ the scoreline level in the 38th minute with a solo effort. Running from the midfield, the Nigerian went past Jamal defenders Didarul and Yamin and also went past Jamal goalie Mustaque before hitting the back of the net (1-1) ÂÂ ÂÂ
Jamal regained the lead in the 60 minute ÂÂ when Gambian midfielder Landing Darboe unleashed a powerful shot ÂÂ from the top of the box (2-1)
ÂÂ Emeka Darlington ÂÂ made it 3-1 eight minutes later when Landing headed down a cross of Sohel Rana and the Nigerian made no mistake to put the ball into the net from the six-yard box (3-1)
Wedson scored the fourth in the stoppage time with a solo effort ÂÂ (4-1)
ÂÂ Jamal has 36 points from 15 matches while BJMC remained on their previous collection of 12 points from 15 matches.
