BD drawn with Nepal in SAFF U-19
Dhaka,
Aug 11, 2015: Bangladesh were drawn with hosts Nepal in the first SAFF U-19
Championship to be held in Kathmandu from 20-29 August 2015.
Bangladesh
have been grouped with hosts Nepal and Bhutan in Group. So, they will face Bhutan
in their first match on 22nd and Nepal in their second match on 24th
August.
Maldives,
India and Afghanistan were drawn in Group B.

The
draw was held at the ANFA Complex on Monday.

Host
Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Maldives were placed in bowl 1, while the
remaining two teams, Bhutan and Afghanistan were placed in bowl 2.
Â
The
seeding of the draw were based on latest AFC U-19 rankings, in which,
Bangladesh were the highest ranked team, followed by India, Maldives and Nepal.
Afghanistan and Bhutan were the lowest ranked teams respectively.

As
per the fixtures, the opening match is between Nepal and Bhutan on Aug. 20,
while the Maldives take on Afghanistan on the second day. All the group matches
will be played at 3:30 PM.

Sri
Lanka and Pakistan have withdrawn from the championship.Â
