Dhaka, August 12: Afghanistan defeated Maldives 4-2 in the SAFF U-16 Championship at the Sylhet Stadium on Wednesday.

 

Shayek Hakimi opened the account of Afghanistan in the 12th minute,  Naser Amini scored brace in the 48th and 54th minute while Sher Ahmed Hamedi scored the last one in the 76th minute.

Maldives scored their first one in the 62 minute throughYanish Adil and Ismail Zaan Amir reduced the margin in the 89th minute.
