Dhaka, September 18: UAE started their AFC U-16 group D qualifiers with a 6-1 victory over hosts Bangladesh at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
UAE took the lead in the 12th minute as Mohmed al Khamis cut the ball back from the right wing to forward Abdullah al Naqbi whose sliding right footer  from the top of the six yard box gave Bangladesh goalie Nur Alom no chance(1-0)
The lead was extended in the 18th minute as Hamad Jashim danced down the right flank and curved a low cross at the top of the box, unmarked UAE skipper Majed Rashid drilled a low shot into the far post net(2-0)
Bangladesh had nothing to do in the 22nd minute apart from going three down when defender Sultan Saeed outjumped his marker to head a curved corner of Ali Saleh Amro into the near post (3-0)
Al Saleh Amro scored the fourth in the 39th minute capitalizing a low cross of Mohamed All Khamis and placing the ball into the roof of the net (4-0)
Bangladesh reduced the margin in the 52nd minute with midfielder Md.Shawon’s cracking right footer on a back pass of Sarwar Zaman Nipu crashed into the right hand post of Emirates goalie Ak Haeth Salem (4-1)
Bu the four goal cushion was restored off a penalty in the 62nd minute with Majed Rashed converting from the spot (5-1).
Majed Rashed completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute with a beautiful free kick, standing about 35 yards out of the post, the Emirates skipper curved the ball into the far post net beating the outstretched hand of Nur Alom, the Bangladesh goalie (6-1)
UAE takes on Saudi Arabia in the last group match on Sunday.
