Uzbekistan thrash Bhutan 7-0
Dhaka, October 2: Uzbekistan started their AFC U-19
Championship group A qualifiers with a 7-0 victory over Bhutan at the
Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Bhutanese resistance came to an end in the 43rd
minute when defender Gofurov Husniddin headed a free kick of midfielder Sharof
Mukhtidinov in the far post net from the left corner of the six yard box (1-0).
Bhutan hardly had absorbed the shock when goalie Gyanshen
Zangpo in his attempt to clear the ball brought Shukrov Nurulloev down inside
the box and Sharof Mukhtidinov stepped up to convert the penalty (2-0.) It was
the stoppage time of the first half.
The lead was extended
to three in the 55th minute when right winger Kudirkulov Sanjar made
his way through the defence carrying a through ball of Azizjon Ganiev and
placed the ball into the far post net(3-0).
Bhutan had no clue 71st minute when substitute forward Abdixolikov Bobir fired a low volley on a chip
of Allinov Khojiakbar into the far post to put Uzbekistan on a four goal
cushion (4-0)
Abdixolikov Bobir added his second in the 80th minute
with a fast footed move, Azizjon Ganiev
again cut the a through ball and Bobir swept past his marker to drill a low
shot into the far post (5-0)
Substitute midfielder Sayidjamol Davlatjonov netted the
sixth in the 87th minute with a solo effort (6-0)
In the last minute of the three minute stoppage time Tukhtasinov Nurillo curved a free kick from 25 yards out (7-0)
