Dhaka, December 26: Bangladesh crashed out of the SAFF Championship with a 3-1 defeat against Maldives at the Trivundrum International Stadium on Saturday.
Ali Ashfaq scored the first for Maldives off a penalty in the 42nd minute, Bangladesh restored parity in the 86th minute through Hementa Vincent Biswas. However the parity lasted just two minutes as Naiz Hasan flicked a goal to put Malidvies ahead again. In the 93 minute Ahmed Nashid added the third for the islanders.
Bangladesh who lost 4-0 to Afghanistan earlier complete their group fixture against Bhutan on Monday.
