Muktis earn first points
Dhaka, April 10, 2016: Muktijoddha Sangsad registered
their first win edging past Brothers Union 1-0 in the Group A match of KFC
Independence Cup 2016 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Towhidul Alam missed an easy chance in the 31st
minute. Nigerian forward Ahmed Kolo Musa sent a square pass to Towhid whose
poorly shot was saved by Brothers goalie Uttam Baarua having one on one situation.
Muktijoddha took the lead in the 40th
minute. Forward Towhid sent a through pass to Nigerian for ward Kolo Musa who
placed the ball into the net beating Brothers goalie Uttam Barua. (1-0)
In the 63rd minute Towhid failed to
extend the lead as he headed straight to goalie Utaam Barua on across of Sohel
Rana from the left flank.
Muktijoddha has 3 points from two matches while
Brothers Union remained with 3 ponts from three matches.
