BPL enters new era
Dhaka, June 12: Bangladesh Football moved into a new era when Saifpowertec’s sister concern Saif Global Sports signed a deal with Bangladesh Football Federation over managing Bangladesh Premier League for five years to develop the game.
Both parties signed a MOU in the local hotel on Saturday. According to the deals Saif Global Sports will get the right to organize Bangladesh Premier League including branding as well as advertising for five years for Tk 20 crore. BFF will receive tk 4 crore each year and will provide technical and logistic supports to BPL.
To spread the football craze to root level Bangladesh Premier League will be held in six venues throughout the country. The Committee had primarily chosen seven venues- Dhaka, Rajshahi, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rangpur, Gopalganj.
These were disclosed by BFF Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy at colorful program held at a local hotel.
“Today is a historical day of Bangladesh football. We are going to sign a MOU with Saif Global Sports for five years for Bangladesh Premier League. We have completed 7 professional league sntill now. BPL will be held in six venue throughout the country. Thanks to Mr. Taraffder Ruhul Amin, Chairman, Saif Global Sports to come forward to develop Bangladesh football. ”
Mohiuddin Mahi, Vice President of BFF, highly praised Saif Global Sports for extending their hand to develop Bangladesh football. “ A new football age starts from today. We promised that we would spread football door to door of Bangladesh. This process start from now. Football is safe in the hand of Kazi Salahuddin.”
Badal Roy, Vice President of BFF also thanked Saif Global Sports for coming forward. “We were thinking how to strengthen our professional league. It became easy when Saif Global Sports coming forward. Our football also need to develop their skills to attack supporters. We are requesting our sports Ministry to assist Bangladesh football federation by developing infrastructure. “
Mamtaj Begum, MP who was appointed as the Brand Ambassador to BPL was happy to be a part of Bangladesh Premier League. “We know football is very popular game in our country. I am very happy being here as brand ambassador.”
Taraffder Ruhul Amin also thanked BFF for giving opportunity to organize Bangladesh professional league. “We have made tie with BFF to spread the football whole country. Our goal is to develop football and bring it to root level people. We want to give our football on a honorary place in the world.”
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, MP hoped to always assist BFF to develop football. “I am a footballer from top to bottom. Our government will repair all necessary venues where BPL will be held. We will manage flood light every venue. I hope good management will be developed through the BPL.”
BFF President Kazi Salahuddin insisted of developing Bangladesh football. “Today is the monumental day of Bangladesh Football. We have reached this place after seven years hard working. Now we are a position to sell our football right. We play football outside of Dhaka. It is very positive. That is the way to survive our football. Our clubs also are trying to develop football level. Football is the largest community in the planet. We can bring unity of the nation through football.”
