JB Group bag BPL title rights

Dhaka, 29 June 2016: JAJ BHUIYAN GROUP, one of the most successful textile manufacturers in Bangladesh arrived as the title sponsor of new look Bangladesh Premier Football League 2015-16 in a press conference held at the BFF House on Wednesday.

The fashion wear and garment-manufacturing company JB Group signed a one-year deal with Saif Global Sports who brought Bangladesh Premier Football League rights for five years.

The Chairman and MD of Jaj Bhuiyan Group Eng. Faijur Rahman Bhuiyan Jewel expressed hope to create a long term relation with football. “We have sponsored in cricket teams and players. We know that football was a popular game in Bangladesh. We want revive the golden days of the global game.”

BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy said JB Group has bagged title sponsorship from SGS for one year. The matches will be held six venues throughout the Bangladesh. It will be the new dimension of Bangladesh football. Local supporters will come to see the matches.

Tarafder Ruhul Amin, Chairman of SGS congratulated JB group for coming up to sponsor the BPL. “We need a combined development promgram as well as more money. We will try to commercialize the process; BPL will be top league in Bangladesh. To do so we have taken a huge program. The logo and trophy unveiling ceremony will be held at Sonargaon Hotel on 18th July, 2016 with an international level fashion show where 12 clubs will participate with jersey.”

The Grand Opening will be held at Chittagong MA Aziz Stadium on 20th July, 2016 where our brand ambassador Mamtaj Begum MP will perform. The BPL will be kick off on 24th July, 2016.

BFF president Kazi Salahuddin welcomed JB Group to the field of football. “We welcome JB Group in the evergreen field of football, we have every hope that the relation will be a long term event. If players play in the field well, past scenario will come back,” said the BFF president.

Representatives of JB group Sarwar Alam, Deputy Managing Director, Prime Bank Ltd., Shamsuddin Chowdhury and other BFF officials were also present on the occasion.
