Abahani, Russel, Rahmatganj and Baridhara reveal their target
Dhaka, 17 July 2016: In the third day of the team introduction of JB Bangladesh Premier League organized by Bangladesh Football Federation held at BFF House on Sunday.
Abahani Limited, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakkra, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society and Uttar Baridhara Sporting Club introduced their teams and target in the BPL to be kicked off from 24th July this year.
Dhaka Abahani coach Geroge Kottan said he has found the absent substance that had deprived his team from the title. "We are working hard towards attaining thr title, we have won tournament, last seaon maybe a team was top favourtie but this season the scenario is different, it would be hard to choose a clear cut favourtie with four teams close to each other, then teamwork, fitness and game plans make the difference, Abahani is ready to make the difference with the hard work" said Kottan.
Abahani manager Satayjit Das Rupu said., his forwards missed a lot of chances last season and it threw the team behind, this year the forwards will be concentrating hard not to repeat the act, playing two finals of the two tournaments and winning one has lifted the morale of the team.
Coach Maruful Haque hopes Sheikh Russel will iron out their penance to win JB Bangladesh Premier League after team unsuccessful to win federation cup and Independence cup title. “We have formed a team with the aim that we will play the tournament for title. But we have failed last two tournaments. BPL is infront of us, we do not want to fail this time. We had some problems in wings and defence as well as adjustment of foreign players. Fikru played well in the first tournament but he was not totally in the second. Now we are ready after throwing out all problems.” Said Maruf.
Captain Atikur Rahman Meshu looks forward the title of BPL. “League title is the biggest success. we look forward to win BPL forgetting the past two tournaments.” Told Meshu to journalist.
Rahmatganj coach Kamal Babu said, there are no clear cut favourites in the BPL this season and with this motivation they will fight to win the title.
Uttar Baridhara coach Rashed Pappu said his team has arrived at the BPL to stay this time, not repeat the act of being relegated when they first got the chance of playing in the top bracket two season ago.
