Soccer sink Baridhara
Dhaka, August 19: Soccer Club, Feni registered their second win in the JB Bangladesh Premier League beating Uttar Baridhara 4-1 at the Bangbandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Rohit Sarker put Baridhara ahead in the 10th minute when his right footed placing shot following a nice cut back of Monir beat Rahmatganj goalie Sujan in the far post (1-0).
However, the lead lasted only one minute when Nigerian forward Uche Felix found a square pass from Ghanaian Tuam Frank and darted into the box before sending the ball far corner of the post with an angular volley (1-1).
Soccer Club took the lead in the 29th after a poor defending by Baridhara defender Ariful Islam who in his attempt to clear a long ball failed while Soccer forward Akbar Hossain Ridon slotted home (2-1).
In the 57th minute substitute forward Chomrin Rakhaine scored the third with a solo effort, darting alone from the midfield he finished with a cool headed right footer (3-1)
Feni Soccers victory was sealed in the 77th minute by Nigerian forward Uche Felix who produced a brilliant footwork added by the pace to go past two defenders as well as onrushing Baridhara goalie Razib before putting the ball in the middle of net (4-1)
Soccer Club now has eight points from six matches while Baridhara has three.
