Dhaka, August 22: Bangladesh Football Federation appointed Tom Saintfiet and Paul Smalley as the Head Coach of the national team and as the Technical and Strategic Director on Monday.

However Belgian head coach Sainfiet will have his contract for two months while Smalley, the English born Australian has been appointed for two years.

Saintfiet now focuses upon the AFC Asian Cup play-off 2 against Bhutan. Smallay will be working to link the different components of Bangladesh football with a view to develop the standards.

The national team began their residential training camp from Sunday ahead of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Play-offs against Bhutan, slated for September 6 and October 10.

BFF vice president Kazi Nabil Ahmed and general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag were present on the occasion.
