BD continue winning spree
Dhaka, 29 August 2016: Bangladesh continued their winning spree in the
AFC U-16 Women Championship 2017 qualifiers beating Singapore 5-0 at the
Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
Bangladesh forward Sirat Jahan Shopna wasted an easy chance in the 7th
minute when she shot wide of the side post from top of six yards box.
In the 18th minute Bangladesh were unfortunate when
Moushumi Jahan shot hit the side post from the edge of the box. Krishna Rani
placed the ball over the crosspiece.
Bangladesh took the lead in the 39th minute of the match.
Forward Sanjida Akhter curved a cross from the right flank and Krishna Rani
headed the ball into the far net. (1-0)
Bangladesh were unfortunate again in the 42nd minute when
Sanjida’s placing shot whisker past the side post.
Krishna Rani doubled the lead in the 47th minute. Midfielder
Marzia Ran down the left flank and curved a cross to Krishna who placed the
ball into the net after taking position. (2-0)
Bangladesh extended the lead to 3-0 in the 83rd minute
through substitute forward Anuching Mogini. Tahura’s right footer slipped off
the gloves Singapore goalie Lutrah Hannah and Anuching tapped the ball in.
(3-0)
Jahan Moushumi scored the 4th goal in the 86th minute (4-0)
and Anuching sealed the victory in the injury time of the match (5-0).
