BD beat Taipei 4-2
Dhaka, 03 September 2016: Bangladesh almost
secured final round slot of AFC U-16 Womens Championship 2017 beating Chinese
Taipei 4-2 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Bangladesh goal keeper Mahmuda saved her team in the 4th
minute when she dived to her right to deny Taipei midfielder Wu Dahling’s shot for
corner.
Taipei took the lead in the 11th minute when
their captain Su Yu Hsuan scored with a solo effort. Hsuan shot from the top of
the box hit the middle of net. (1-0)
Bangladesh equalized the score from a penalty in the 28th
minute. Forward Krishna Rani was brought down in the six yards box by Taipei defender Chen Chiao
Yi and referee whistled for the spot kick. Referee also sent off Chen Chiao Yi
for double yellow cards. Defender Shamsunnahar converted the spot kick. (1-1)
Shamsunnahar put Bangladesh ahead in the 39th
minute from a penalty. Krishna Rani was again fouled in the box by captain Su
Yu Hsuan. Shamsunnahar scored from spot kick. (2-1)
Bangladesh skipper Krishna Rani put her team into the winning
track when she fired a blasting left footer into the middle of the net from
middle of the box in the 56th minute, the ball was fed by forward
Anuching Mogini. (3-1)
Marzia scored the fourth in the 79th
minute with a placing shot on a corner of Sanjida Khatun from the left flag.

Wu You Jou reduced the margin for Chinese
Taipei in the 88th with a right footer. (4-2)
Taipei were reduced to nine players in the 90th
minute when defender Teng Pei-Lin was sent off showing double yellow by referee.
