MSC register first win

October 2016: Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited registered their first victory
in the JB Bangladesh Premier League beating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited
1-0 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
In the 19th minute Mohammedan Senegalese defender Yaya Sy curved a leftfooted free kick from the top of the box, Jamal goalie Mazharul
Islam Himel somehow punched the ball that kissed the crosspiece.
Mohammedan forward Shahdat Hossain Shahed saw his shot flying over the
crosspiece in the 41st minute.
However Mohammedan took the lead in the 48th minute of the
match. Cameroonian midfielder Patrice curved a corner from the right flag, Shahadat
Hossain Shahed’s header fell in front of captain Towhidul Alam Shabuz who
placed the ball into the net with a leftfooter. (1-0)
Jamal had a chance to level the score but Enamul Haque’s headed
straight to Mohammedan goalie Nehal having alone on curving free kick of Wedson
Anselme in the 63rd minute.
Emeka Darlington wasted another chance for Jamal when his side-volley flew
over the post on a low cross of Landing Darboe from the right in the 65th
minute.
In the 70th minute Jamal substitute midfielder Sarowar
Zaman Nipu’s header hit the crosspiece on a corner of Landing Darboe.
With the win Mohammedan earned 9 points from 10 matches while Jamal
remained with 19 points from 10 matches.
