Dramatic win for Rahmatganj

October 2016: Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society registered a dramatic win beating
Brothers Union Limited 4-3 in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the
Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Rahmatganj took the lead in the 7th minute of an own goal
by Brothers defence. Winger Sohel Mia danced down the left flank and cut the
ball back to Congolese forward Siyo Zunapio, however Brothers defender Krishna
Pada failed to clear the ball and put the ball into his own net. (1-0)
In the 16th Brothers’s Haitian forward Augustin Walson made
a beautiful run in the left flank, however his brilliant effort was denied by
the sidepost.
Augustin Walson restored the parity in the 22ndÂÂ minute with
a curing free kick from the top of the box. (1-1)
Nigerian forward Nkowcha Kingsley put Brothers ahead in the 27th
minute with a solo effort. Receiving a ball in the box Kingsley turned around
and placed the ball into the net beating Rahmatganj goalie Al Amin. (2-1)
Rahmatganj came back into the natch in the 45+2ÂÂ minute with
Nigerian defender Eleta Benjamin heading a Gambian midfielder Jatta Mostapha
free in the near post. (2-2)
Rahmatganj took the lead again in the 64th minute. Forward
Sohel Mia put a curling in the box where unmarked substitute midfielder headed
the ball into the far post net. (3-2)
Brothers ÂÂÂÂ equalized the score
line in the 76th minute of the match. Substitute midfielder Mokarram
delivered a through pass in the box to Nkowcha Kingsley who scored with placing
shot. (3-3)
Didarul Alam sealed the victory for Rahmatganj in the injury time with
a curving left footers from the left flank beat Brothers goalie Uttam Barua and
crushed into the far post net. (4-3)
With the win Rahmatganj took their tally to 22 points from 10 matches
while Brothers remained with 11 points from 10 matches.
