MSC beat Rahmatganj
Dhaka, November 2: Dhaka Mohammedan beat Rahmatganj 2-1 in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first phase Mohammedan drew with Rahmatgong 1-1.
It was the second consecutive loss for Rahmatganj who remained on their previous collection of 22 points from 12 matches while Mohammedan took their tally to 12 points.
Rahmatganj took the lead in the 27th minute when Gambian forward Dawda Cisse broke the dead lock with cool headed finish. Dawda shrugged off two defenders while carrying chip of midfielder Ali Hossain and placed the ball past Mohammedan goalie Nehal in the far post net (1-0)
Mohammedan restored the parity in the 40th minute, Mohammedan forward Aminur Rahman Sajib’s curling free kick from the right edge of the box rocked the Rahmatganj crosspiece and landed in front of Cameroonian midfielder Nzekou Patrice who headed the ball past Samiul Islam Masum, the Rahmatganj keeper into the far post (1-1)
Ismael Bangoura, the Guinean forward of Mohammedan sealed the victory in the 84th minute with a precise head on a cross of Towhidul Alam Sobuj. The header beat Masum in the air and landed into the near post net. (2-1)
