Dhaka, December 16: As much as the weather, conditions and opponents, the U-14 National Boys’ Team strategy in Malaysia also took their abilities into consideration.

The 4-4-2 formation was essentially owing to the strength of the team, which is taking part in the Super Mokh Cup Tournament in the Malaysian capital December 12-18.

It was not too difficult as assistant coach Md Mahboob Alam Paulo pointed out the team’s strength. “We have midfielders who can hold the ball and defenders who are comfortable with the possession-based game.”

Manager Manosh Chandra Das said, “Though we’ve taken all the things into account, we basically focused on the strength of our team more than anything else when fixing our approach and strategy.”

During the short time that the team has been together, the boys have been put through a rigorous routine at the national camp with regular practice and fitness sessions with strict discipline.

Both Paulo and Manosh underlined the challenging weather conditions that the team is set to face in Malaysia.
