Kuala Lumpur, December 18:Bangladesh under-14 boys have become the champions of the plate round of Super Mokh Cup 2016 beating Japan’s Shonan Bellmare by 1-0.
Fahim Morshed scored the only goal for Bangladesh on the 32nd minute which was enough to win the match.
The red and greens started the match with an attacking 4-3-3 formation and the strategy paid off but BD boys missed a few easy chances.
Bangladesh goalkeeper Emon saved the side a few times, especially on the 21st minute when he saved a one on one chance.
Finally on the 32nd minute, Fahim broke the deadlock scoring a stunner — also his 3rd goal of the tournament.
Shonan Bellmare got 5 corners and 3 free kicks but failed to level the score.
Bangladesh head coach Mr. Parves was very satisfied with the result. “We are plate champions. It feels good. I think it is a big achievement.”
Earlier Bangladesh beat Manchester City U-14 2-0 to reach the finals on Sunday.
