Bangladesh U-14 boys team have finished their Super Mokh Cup campaign winning the Plate Round final, raising high hopes for the future of Bangladesh football.
The success came through a team effort but a few players stood out in the tournament proving they could be the key to Bangladesh’s future success. Here is a look at some of them.
Fahim Morshed
The skipper plays mainly in central midfield position but scored three goals in two vital matches. The player from BKSP scored a brace against Manchester City U-14 in the semi-final of Plate round and also scored the only goal in the final to clinch the Plate trophy for his side.
Arif Hossen
Another Key player for Bangladesh youth side is Arif Hossen. He also scored three goals like Fahim and helped his side to win the title. His goals in the group round and Plate quarter final were very crucial and paved the way towards victory. He is one of the upcoming stars to be reckoned with in future.
Md. Miraj Molla
U-14 striker Miraj played brilliantly throughout the tournament scoring two goals. He scored both the goals against Saswco FC in the group round helping his team win the match 3-2. His two goals in that match were vital as it was a ‘must win’ for the red and greens to keep further hopes in the tournament alive. Besides, he also provided some assists and was a threat for the opponent in every match throughout the tournament.
Md. Emon Hawlader
While other players were out to find the net of opponents, the promising goalkeeper of Bangladesh U-14 Emon was busy to save his side from opponent players. Out of six matches in the tournament, Emon was able to manage three clean sheets. His performance in the whole tournament was stunning but especially in the Plate round where he saved his side from a few sure goals. Emon did not concede a single goal in three matches of Plate round which ensured Bangladesh’s eventual triumph.
