Dhaka, December 26: Muktijoddha Sangsad held Chittagong Abahani to a 1-1 draw in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Skipper Mamunul Islam put Chittagong Abahani ahead in the 31st minute directly from a curling corner kick.
He curved a corner from the right hand flag that swung in to hit the sidepost of the opposite end and landed into the net (1-0).
The teams went into the break with the team from the port city leading the match.
However, only four minutes after the restart, Muktijoddha forward Javed Khan restored parity.
Taking advantage of a weak clearance of an Abahani defender at the top of the box, Javed fired a cracking right footed volley into the left corner of the net (1-1).
