Dhaka, December 31: After a dominating
performance in their first match of SAFF Women’s Championship, Bangladesh
skipper Sabina Khatun and Coach Golam Rabbani Choton hoping for a similar show
in the next match against hosts India.
Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 6-0 in their first
match where Sabina netted five.
Remarking on her superb performance, Sabina said, “I
am happy to score five goals in the first match. Also I am happy that my team
reached the semi finals.”
The skipper said her team would try to perform well
one step at a time. "We want to go home with a good outcome."
Meanwhile, head coach Choton is watchful ahead of the
big match against India.
“We are happy to achieve our first target to reaching
the semis. Next target is to do well in the next match.”
ÂÂ He also praised his team saying girls are
showing that they are improving now than before.
Playing in group B of the tournament, Bangladesh have
already secured place in semi-final.
The red and greens will face India on December 31 in
the last match of group stage.
