Dhaka, January 19: The Bangladesh Football Federation has launched an initiative to conduct refresher courses for coaches of different levels.
These courses will allow coaches to register their coaching qualification with the federation and Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Asian football authority, again and revalidate their credentials.
The refresher courses — A, B and C levels of coaching — are obligatory for coaches and the federation expects interested people to revalidate their credentials on their own.
The first batch of these courses will begin in the first week of February — Feb 4 for level C, Feb 5 for level B and Feb 11 for level A.
Each course for each level has four hours of education and learning from noon, which is mandatory for revalidation of the credentials.
“The profile of a coach will naturally go up by attending these courses,” said the federation’s technical director Paul Smalley.
Interested individuals must apply and register for their appropriate levels within January 28.
The refresher courses have registration fees of Tk 3,500 for level C, Tk 5,000 for level B and Tk 7,500 for level A.
