Dhaka, January 23: Ahead of the weeklong tour in Japan, Bangladesh coach and skipper have emphasized on gaining experience saying it will help them in AFC Championship Finals.
The Head Coach of Bangladesh U-16 team Golam Rabbani Choton, assistant coach Md Mahbubur Rahman, skipper Krishna Rani Sarkar, vice-captain Maria Manda were present at a conference in BFF house on Monday and said those.
The girls will start for Japan on January 24, 2017, where they will participate in the J-Green Sakai Women's Football Festival in Osaka.
The trip was arranged by the BFF ahead of the AFC Championship Final rounds where Bangladesh will take on stronger teams like Japan, South Korea, China and Australia.
Meanwhile in the press briefing, BFF Women’s Committee Chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, sponsor Walton’s Head of the Department(Sports and Welfare) F M Iqbal Bin Anwar, coach, skipper replied the queries by the journalists.
Choton said, “The biggest gain of the tour would be learning experience for the girls as we will face some strong sides.”
“Our main goal is to point out our weakness as we have to compete against stronger sides in AFC finals,” skipper Krishna said.
Bangladesh will start their Japan tour with a friendly match against Academy Sakai on January 26th.
The red and greens side will be featured on three matches on January 28th in the SAKAI Lady’s Festival followed by a match on January 29.
A Singapore Airlines flight will carry the girls’ home on 30th January.
