Dhaka, March 4: Bangladesh Football Federation has started the BFF-AFC “C” Certificate Coaching Course with maximum number of participants in the first phase of the programme.
In total, 24 candidates were selected for the course that started on March 3, and will continue till March 16.
The 14-day course will have both practical and theoretical practices according to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) guidelines.
The course aims to train coaches and develop their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the Coaches to plan, prepare, organize and conduct basic practical coaching sessions and practices especially targeting young players.
In total, four AFC “C” Certificate Coaching Courses will be organized by the BFF in 2017.
Each course will select 24 applicants, which sums up to 96 applicants year round.
The course is designed with 37 hours of practical sessions and 48 hours of theoretical sessions, which will take place within 14 days.
In the final examination, students will be assessed on their practical coaching abilities, knowledge of the laws of the Game, and learning and understanding of the theoretical contents of football using 3 practical assessments, 2 theoretical exams and 1 oral exam to give coaches an insight into best practices regarding football coaching.
The second phase of the “C” certificate course will begin on April 2, third phase on August 4, and the fourth phase will start from November 17, 2017. Aspiring candidates have to pay Tk. 7,000 to BFF accounts for applying in these courses.
