FIFA security officer Mr Salman Al Namshan completed his follow up visit to BNS today 24 November 2007 Today in the early morning, Mr. Salman Al Namshan arrived to make his follow up visit to Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS). New Referees Training Course concluded today at BFF 26 August 2007 BFF along with Referees Committee & Bangladesh Football Referees Association conducted an eight days course from 16-26 August 2007 for creating new referees in Bangladesh. From all over the country total 85 participants participated in the course. Only one young women participated who is now studying in class 10 in a school among all the 85 patcipants. It is a pilot project under the project VISION BANGLADESH by AFC. Already BFF conducted introductory coaching & refereeing course with the representatives from the participating Schools. The schools are Motijheel Govt Boy’s High School, Motijheel, Ideal School & College, Motijheel, Khilgaon High School, Khilgaon, Khilgaon Model High School, Khilgaon, Ali Ahmmed High School, Goran, Motijheel Govt. Local giants Abahani and Muktijodha Sangsad played out a goalless draw in the first match of the inaugural Bangladesh Professional Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday. JFA Cup U-15 Football Championship: Eight zonal venues declared 22 January, 2007 JFA Cup committee has declared 8 venues for the Zonal Round which will start on 7 February, 2007. The venues are as follows: Khulna, Mymensingh, Comilla, Sirajganj, Manikgang, Natore, Shariatpur & Meherpur. The final round will be held in Dhaka. B. League 2006-2007: Initiated by Mosabbir Ahmed Sumon (Arambagh KS), Total 26 players registered for the league 21 January, 2007 On 20 December, 2006 Mosabbir Ahmed Sumon registered for Arambagh KS at 4.20pm at BFF House. The player Registration date started from 14-12-2006 but Mosabbir Ahmed Sumon was the first player to be registered for Arambagh KS with BFF officially. Mosabbir Ahmed Sumon will play in defensive position for Arambagh KS. He is registered for one year with Arambagh (01-01-2007 to 31-12-2007). Last year he played for Badda Jagoroni in the first division. After Mosabbir, Abu Morshed (age: 25) had also registered with BFF to play for Arambagh KS. Morshed will play in the forward position. Also in the last session he played for the same club. Then on 23 December, 2006 Nadiruzzaman Nadir registered for one year to play for Arambagh KS. 31 year aged Nadir plays in the defensive position. Two more players has been registered for Arambagh KS on 25 December, 2006. 20 years old ex-goalkeeper for Farashgang SC Piaruzzaman Piru has signed contract with Arambagh KS for one year & registered with BFF. While Piru was accompanied by 18 years of age defender Imdadul Haque Monu of Arammbagh KS who signed cotract for one year for the same club to play in the B. League. AFC U-13 Festival Of Football: Total Primary trial completed 21 January, 2007 AFC U-13 Festival of Football is going to place from 04 May, 2007 to 08 May, 2007 in Bangladesh. To organize Bangladesh U-13 National Team, from Rangamati 8 players selected initially among 100 players. In Sylhet 7 players were selected among 100 players, in Rajbari 6 players were selected among 80 players and in BKSP 11 players were 40 selected primarily for the final Trial. Earlier 8 from Chittagong (Present: 100 players), 16 from Feni (Present: 100 players), 24 from Mymensingh (Present: 150 players), 8 from Barishal (Present: 100 players), 17 from Nauga (Present: 150 players), 8 players from Dinajpur (Present: 160 players) and 26 players from Jessore (Present: 160 players) has been selected primarily who will attened the final trial in Dhaka. In Dhaka at Kamlapur in the Birsrestha Sipahi Mohammed Mostafa Kamal stadium appromixately 400 players from Dhaka, Norshindi, Narayanganj & Munshiganj came to attend in the trial. Among 400 players of 16 players from Dhaka, 21 from Narayangang & 1 player from Munshiganj, in total 36 players has been selected from Dhaka venue. In total 175 players are selected from all over Bangladesh for the final trial in Dhaka. B. The sponsors for the tournament has not yet been finalized but BFF is hoping to discover the sponsor very soon. BFF Emergency ExCo Meeting 18 January, 2007 Today was the day for the B. League as BFF ExCo meets in short notice and Brothers Union & Arambagh introduces themselves with the media. Total 14 members were present in the meeting. In the meeting, BFF appoints new B. League Committee after dissoving the earlier committee. The new chairman is Mr. Abdur Rahim (VP, BFF & earlier chairman of B. League Committee) and the co-chairman is Mr Sirajul Islam Bachchu (VP, BFF & GS, SAFF). They have given responsibility to select the new committee members after consulting with BFF. Football Coach's Association of Bangladesh (FCAB) has been formed 16 January, 2007 Coachs of Bangladesh had a meeting at BFF house yesterday in the evening. Total 60 coachs were present in the meeting. There all the coachs emphasized on improving the standard of coachs professionalism, improving the relation between coachs, promotion of football as a game & contribute in football development, helping BFF & other football related clubs in improving the coachs as well as football development. Finally they agreed upon to makle the first non-political Football Coach's Association of Bangladesh (FCAB). The association has already made the temporary committee comprising of 21 members. Mr Md. Kaykobad is the president , Mr. Sazzad Hossain Siddique Lavlu is the General Secretary and Mr. Anwarul Haque Panna is the treasurer of the association. Within next three months this committee will prepare the status of the association, complete the processing for BFF affiliation & election for the Permanent committee and handing over the association to the new committee. B. League 2006-07: Inspection of the Home Venue of the participant clubs 15 January, 2007 BFF has appointed the Inspection team to inspect all the facilities of home venues of the participant clubs. Tournament Committee may request BFF to shift the tournament for seven days for the Iztema (2-4 February, 2007). The final round will be held in Dhaka. Before both the zonal and final round the age check will be done with the players. The tournament committee will be strict on the matter of age of players. GlaxoSmithKline Vaccination Program: Final dose on 17 January, 2007 at 6:00pm in BFF House 15 January, 2007 GlaxoSmithKline had given three doses of vaccination named Engerix B for Hepatitis B prevention last year. Where the first dose was on 30-11-2006, 2nd dose was on 28-12-06 and 3rd dose was on 28-01-06. Bangladesh National team along with Bangladesh Age Group National teams were participated in those three vaccination ceremony. The final dose has been arranged on 17 January, 2007 at 6:00pm in BFF House. All are requested to bring the vaccination card for the final dose of the vaccination. DEATH OF JUDGE KÉBA MBAYE, PRESIDENT OF THE CAS 13 January, 2007 Lausanne, 12 January 2007 - It was with deep sadness that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) learned that its President, Judge Kéba Mbaye, passed away on 11 January 2007, at the age of 82. Born in Kaolack, Senegal, in 1924, Judge Kéba Mbaye founded the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 1983 and has been its only President to date. In 1994, Judge Mbaye became the President of the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS), the body that looks after the administration and financing of the CAS. Before becoming the President of the CAS, Judge Kéba Mbaye accomplished a legal career of the highest level. He was President of the Supreme Court of Senegal from 1964 to 1982. He was also a member of the International Court of Justice at The Hague, of which he later became Vice-President (1982-1991). Equally, he accomplished an exceptional career within the Olympic movement being a member of the IOC between 1973 and 2002 (Executive Board member and president of several commissions), and then subsequently becoming an honorary member, and President of the IOC Ethics Commission from 1999. His innate sense of justice and his passion for sport and Olympism made Kéba Mbaye a unanimously recognised and respected personality at the heart of the international sporting community. Under his guidance, the CAS has experienced a remarkable development and has become year after year an institution of high standing the world over.
