Dhaka, 7 Jan: Farashganj Sporting Club upset defending champions Dhaka Abahani 1-0 in the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League at MSSM Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamalapur on Friday.

Young Striker Shoel Rana scored the match winner from a through pass of Kalu Johnson,  in the 9th minute of the match. 

This was the first defeat for Abahani Limited after registering a victory in the second match over Ctg Abahani and goalless draw with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the league opener.

 Farashganj earned their maiden win after two successive defeat to Sheikh Russell in the first match and Mohammedan SC in their opening match.

With this defeat, Abahani obtained four points from three matches while the winning Farashganj three points from the same matches.

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club will meet Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club at MSSM Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamaalapur  on Saturday at 4 pm.
