Dhaka Feb 6: Brothers Union and Rahamatganj MFS both handed their victory in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League in Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar today.
After the seventh round, Rahamatganj moved to the fifth place of the League table with 13 points while Brothers reached seventh with 12 points.
Rahmatganj edged pass Farashganj SC by a solitary goal at the BSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium.
At the Cox’s Bazar Stadium, Brothers returned to winning ways when they defeated Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0 after beating last match to Dhaka Abahani 1-0.
Ugandan striker Idris Kasirye scored the all important goal for Rahmatganj in the 33th minute when he headed home on a cross of Prasanta Dey.
Both team created several chances but all their efforts went into vain due lack of good finishers.
Away at the Cox's Stadium, Cameroon striker Bitcha Richard put Gopibag outfit lead in the 61th minute from a counter attack as his shot found the net from frontman Toru’s pass.
