Dhaka Mar 06: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited registered their sixth win in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League beating Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club by a solitary goal at the BSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium today.
With the win Sheikh Jamal moved up to the third place of the point table with 21 points while the defeat saw Dhaka Mohammedan slipping two steps down from fifth to seventh with 13th points at the end of the tenth round.
Sheikh Jamal’s attacking instincts paid off as national striker Ameli broke the deadlock in the 72th minute of the match when his right foot shot deceived Mohammedan goalie Titumir Chowdhury on a cross of midfielder Shakil.
Earlier, first match of the day, Arambagh Krira Sangha and Farashganj Sporting Club splits points in a goalless draw at the same venue.
