Dhaka, Mar 08: Bangladesh will enter second leg of the London Olympics 2012 Olympic qualifiers against Kuwait to take revenge at Bangabandhu Stadium tomorrow.
The home side lost their first leg match to the visitor 2-0 held in Kuwait city on 23rd February.
Bangladesh’s coach Rubcic believes Bangladeshi youngsters will do their best against strong Kuwait tomorrow. “I believe, our youngsters will do their best. You know, Kuwait is really tough team. They have six and seven very very fast and dangerous players. We will try to do well, “told Bangladesh coach in a press conference held in BFF today.
Last match, Bangladesh played very defensive game but this time they will change their strategy and game formation. Croat coach said, “We were defensive last match but this a new situation and we will change our formation this match.”
The coach is very optimistic. He is not thinking about win against tough competitors Kuwait. “I am very optimistic. We cannot confirm or tell about win. We have no fast booters like our opponent. We need two or three fast players.”
Bangladesh coach announced final eleven for tomorrow match will be held at 5pm in the evening. Players’ are- GK: Md. Nehal, Defence: Ashraf Mahmud Linkon, Md. Mintu Sheikh, Uttam Kumar Banik and Md. Yamin Ahmed Munna.
Midfielder: Md. Yousuf, Shahedul Alam Shahel, Md. Monayem Khan Raju, Md. Alamgir Kabir Rana,
Striker: Mithun Chowdhury, Md. Shakhawat Hossain Rony.
On the others hand, Kuwait coach Maher Al Shammeri hopes very good match against Bangladesh tomorrow. “We hope the match will be very good also result. Bangladesh is a very organizing team. They will play attacking football this time.”
The Kuwait coach thought that the match would not be easy and it is difficult do any prediction. “This is a new game, anything can happen. But I will not wait for surprise. We will continue for next round. We will not give any chances to any team.”
Kuwait are probably one of the finest U-23 national teams of recent times and captain Omar Bou Hamad believes that they have winning experience over against Bangladesh and they will continue to qualify for the 2012 London Games if they play to their potential.
In the squad, Shammari has one player Md. Yousuf from the Gulf Cup winning team. They played one friendly match and won 2-0 against their national league champion team Al Qadsia before arriving Bangladesh. Media Officer Talal Al Mehtab also present on the occasion.
