Dhaka, Mar 12: Defending Champion Dhaka Abahani Limited will face archrival Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club in a crucial match of the Grameenphone Bangladesh League at the BSSM Mostafa kamal Stadium tomorrow.
The sky-blues are staying on the second position of the league table with 23 points having seven wins and two draws after ten round while the black and white are standing 7th with 13 points having four wins and one draw at same number of match.
Abahani is standing ten points head in the league table but both team management did not care about differences because Abahani and Mohammedan match mean special. It is beyond the points.
The Dhanmondi outfit's manager sattyajit Das Rupu told, Abahani is taking the match as an important one. You can not judge this match with points. I hope, the match will be one of the best matches in the league. We have no injury problems. Obviously, we will fight for win."
This is the first meeting between two teams in this season. Mohammedan beat Abahani 2-1 last year league match.
Mohammedan's coach Shafiqul Islam Manik also very excited about the match. He said, "Off course, we are taking this match very seriously. We will play positive. We will try to avail the opportunity. We have no injury problem. Boys are playing well through out the league though they can not get expectation result. We also fight for win."
