Yangon, Mar 21: Bangladesh conceded 2-0 lost to Palestine in their first match of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 qualifies round group A match at Youth Training Centre in Yangon today.
Bangladesh played well in the first half as they kept the match goalless.
Bangladesh conceded their first goal early in the second half as a suicide when defender Raju was tried clear a powerful shot of Palestine frontman Murad.
In the 65th minute of the match, Murad scored another goal for winning team making a jeopardize in the penalty area which was very unfortunate for Bangladesh.
After the match the Head Coach Robert Rubcic said, "I am very disappointed with the two silly goals for our fault. Palestine is a good and very fast team and they got their reward. But we played better in the first half. With this team we played our first official international match. But this is a very good experience for our young team. We had only two days of practice but still I would say that our boys played very good. We are still lacking of good striker.
The Palestine French coach Mr Bezaz Moussa told, "Bangladesh side played well in the first half but we played better in the second half and we came through."
In the first match of the day, Myanmar did 1-1 draw with Philippines. Philippines took lead in the 76th minute from a penalty while host team leveled the match in the injury time.
