Dhaka, Apr 28: Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club confirmed three points in the second leg of the Grameenphone Bangladesh League when they defeated Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0 at the Cox’s Bazar Stadium today.
After this win, the traditional black and white moved two steps up from seventh to fifth place with 16 points while the port city club kept in bottom with 4 points without any win.
Midfielder Anower Hossain scored the first goal for Mohammedan in the 41st minute and Sunday doubled the lead in the 45th minute.
The sky-blues had a chance to take revenge as they was beaten by visitors 1-0 in the first leg match but all their effort went in vain due to lack of good finishers.
Anthony of Chittagong Abahani was booked red card by referee due to double yellow card in the 71st minute of the match.
