Dhaka, May 19: Soccer Club, Feni pulled out an exciting 1-1 draw against Arambagh KS at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Nigerian midfielder Subair Mohammed Omobolaji put Arambagh ahead in the 22nd minute but his compatriot but opponent forward Rowland Ikechukwu scored the equalizer in the last minute of the game.
After some cautious opening minutes Arambagh took the lead with a neat attack in the 22nd minute. Midfielder Khaled Saifullah danced down the left flank to feed Guinean attacker Bangoura Ismael a neat through and Ismael cut it back for Subair whose low shot from the top of the six yard box crashed into the far post.
Feni Soccer never lost their composure and continued their search for the equaliser. They missed a number of opportunities with Arambagh goalie Bishnu pulling out two good saves. Bishnu denied Nche Francis in the 57th minute and Rowland in the penultimate minute.
With just a minute left and Arambagh preparing to celebrate the victory Rowland scored the goal. Running inside the box Rowland leapt high to head a Dominic Kabuye cross and Bishnu hardly had any time to react as the ball landed into the near post.
Arambagh sit on 8th position in the with 17 points from 16 matches and Feni Soccer on 9th position with 13 from the same number of matches.
