Dhaka, May 28: A ten men Arambagh Krira Sangha held Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club to a goalless draw in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League second phase match at the BSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium on Saturday.
Both team started the match with attacking mode but all their efforts did not see light due to lack of good finishers.
The traditional black and white defeated Arambagh 4-1 in the first leg match in the league.
Dhaka Mohammedan failed to take advantage against a 10 men Arambagh who saw their captain Deen Mohammad sent off in the 40th minute of the match by direct red cards.
Arambagh’s best chance came in 45 minute when Guinean striker Bangura Ismail’s shot from left flank of the box hit the cross piece.
Mohammedan would have taken lead in the 66th minute but striker Anwar failed to provide the to unmarked Sunday Chizoba but rested the ball into the gloves of Arambagh goalie Munna.
Dhaka Mohammedan moved two steps up to 5th position of the points table with 23 points while Arambagh remained on the 8th position with 18 points. Both the team has played 18 matches.
