Dhaka, June 26: New national coach Nikola Iievski asked his players to play an attacking brand of football focusing upon short passes and quick recovery in his first training session with the Bangladesh national team at BKSP on Sunday.
The Macedonian, a follower of attacking football emphasized upon the quick interchange and speedy running among the footballers and after the practice session expressed satisfaction over the player’s efforts.
“I have a very short time to prepare for the upcoming challenge against Pakistan its very difficult to answer if you ask me what is my target, all I can say that I will try to insert an attacking brand of football” said Ilevski.
The coach split his players in two groups and initiated different sessions. The players enjoyed the sessions was trying to put their best. Star forward Zahid Hasan Emily loved the new coaches procedure. “He was always asking to create pressure upon the opponents with or without the ball, I think all the players enjoyed the session.
All the 24 players apart from Mamun Mia, the defender participated in the practice session. Mamun was rested due to fever.
Bangladesh play Pakistan in the pre-World Cup qualifier on June 29th and July 3rd at Dhaka and Lahore respectively.
