Lutfi, leading the 20 member Pakistan team said his team’s preparation has been satisfactory and the boys are ready to face Bangladesh in a high note. “We have been training hard and we have included four foreign based players in our bid to boost the strength, the team is a balanced one and we hope to win the away match to create added pressure on Bangladesh” said the Pakistan coach who is fairly known in Bangladesh.
Among the foreign Pakistanis, three are from Britain Atif Bashir, Zeeshan Rehman and Adnan Farooq, while Ahmad Akbar Khan is from Australia.
Skipper Jaffer Khan, a veteran of many Pakistan Bangladesh matches said the team is motivated to the optimum level. “The team has no fear of playing Bangladesh in Bangladesh, we have been playing in Dhaka for a couple of years and there is no problem with the conditions” said Jaffer.
The first leg will be played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on June 29th and the second leg will be played at Lahore on June 3rd.
