Super Cup Semis and Final deferred
Dhaka, July 13: Bangladesh Football Federation has deferred the semifinals and the final of the Grameenphone Super Cup.
The Super Cup organizing committee in a meeting decided to stop the Super Cup after the match between Muktijoddha and Sheikh Russell scheduled to be held on Thursday. The semifinals and the final will be held after Bangladesh complete their home match of the World Cup qualifier scheduled to be held on July 28.
“We have requested the clubs to consider the national team interests as we have bright chance to move ahead, the national coach also asked the federation to give him some time to get ready for the challenges, the clubs responded to the plea” said Harunur Rashid, the chairman of the tournament committee.
The practice of the national team will commence on Friday.
