Bangladesh through the semis
Dhaka, August 4: Bangladesh sealed a semifinal slot of the SAFF U-16 Championship with a goalless draw against hosts Nepal in the group B match at the Dasrath Stadium, Kathmandu on Thursday.
Bangladesh boys who earlier thrashed Sri Lanka 6-2 now lead the group with four points. Nepal faces Sri Lanka in the last group match on Saturday to determine the other semifinalist from the group.
Bangladesh defender Bijoy Sarker was sent off due to second bookable offence in the 90+2 minute.
Pakistan lead the group A with six points and India and Maldives, the other two teams of the group are yet to open their account. The second semifinalist of group A will be decided today when India and Maldives face each other to complete the group fixture.
