National team beat Jamal 1-0
Dhaka, November 24: Bangladesh national football team defeated defending Bangladesh League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Ltd 1-0 in a practice match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
National skipper Shujon converted a penalty in the 48th minute that turned into the winner. The penalty was earned by Nasir who was brought down by Jamal defender Yusuf in the middle of box.
National team forward Malek hit the crosspiece in the 78th minute from about 20 yards.
Nasir saved the match from a possible draw in the last minute heading away a Yoko Samnik header off a Yusuf cross from the goal line.
Nikola Ilievski, the Macedonian head coach expressed satisfaction after the match. “The tam played a controlled game today, all the players tried to play as per the plan, I am hopeful of improving more in the next few days working on tactical and technical formations” said Ilievski.
National drew 1-1 with Sheikh Jamal in the previous practice match on November 4th.
