Satkhira hold Ansar, Gaibandha win
Dhaka, Nov 30: Satkhira held title contenders Bangladesh Ansar to a 2-2 goal to emerge as the champions of group A of the KFC Women Super League at the BSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium on Wednesday.
After this match, Satkhira finished as the group A topper by goal difference with 7 points and Bangladesh Ansar became runners up same number of points.
Jannatul Ferdous Rikta put Satkhira ahead in the 14th minute of the match. Mainu Marma leveled the scored in the 49th minute. Ansar took lead in the 76th minute by Tithi Rani sarker. Suria Khatun saved Satkhira one minute before the final whistle.
Earlier, Gaibandha tasted their first win as they defeated Khulna 6-0 at the same stadium.
Bhabna slammed a hat-trick as she scored in the 33rd , 55th and 60th minute of the match while Bebi (54, 74) netted two goals and Mitu (35) scored the rest.
On Thursday, Thakurgaon will face Kishorganj at 1:15 at the BSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium while Narayanganj will meet Jessore at 3:15 at the same stadium.
