Bangladesh ready to face Pakistan
Dhaka, December 1: Bangladesh coach Nikola Ilievski expressed full confidence of a winning start in the opening match of the SAFF Championship against Pakistan at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on Friday.
The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm BST.
In the official press conference at the venue on Thursday the Macedonian head coach of Bangladesh opted to go slow but steady. “We beat Pakistan in the last match and we want to start from there, the boys have worked hard and they are ready to show their best” said Nikola Ilievski.
The coach set his eyes on the championship but wanted to go match by match. “For us every match is a final, we will take every match seriously and will take the field to fight and win, the match against Pakistan is a very important one and we are ready for the challenge” said Ilievski.
The coach categorically stated that he never talks about his strategy about the match and the formation. “The formation and the strategy depends on the opponent and every match is a new one” said the Macedonian.
Zaviša Milosavljević, the Serbian coach of Pakistan however vowed to fight it out. “Though the team is a new one but we have good formations, in the last match between the two teams Bangladesh won, we want to take the revenge and it is very important match for us, we will try our best for a winning start” said Milosavljević.
Bangladesh team had their practice session at the Siri Fort Sports Complex as the organizers did not allow any team to run any practice session at the match venue.
The weather is relatively cool and not hot and humid. Bangladesh players enjoyed their practice sessions and the team is free from any injuries.
