Ilievski resigns
Dhaka, December 21: Nikola Ilievski, the Macedonian head coach of Bangladesh national football team resigned from his post citing personal problem on Wednesday.
The coach, who started his job from June this year, took the decision after discussing the matter with BFF president Kazi Salahuddin, “ I have already discussed with president. I told him I need a ligament surgery. I have to take three or four month rest. It is not good for national team without a coach. So, I made up my mind to resign. It is very painful but I have to do because I am although a professional” said coach said at a press briefing at BFF House.
”No coach analyses himself whether he is good or bad. Sometimes he achieves good result and sometimes bad. Ten or twenty days are not enough to select the players. It is better to give a coach a long period of time” added Nikola.
He emphasized upon the systematic practice. “Professional practice need 11/12 months continuity but 6 months are not enough” opined the Macedonian.
”Thee players of Bangladesh can play in Europe League. Goalkeeper Sohel, right winger Tapu Barman and midfielder Shahed.Bangladesh need many under 20 teams and they should play more practice match with foreign teams’ said Ilievski.
