Dhaka, January 2: Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, the deputy chairman of the Bangladesh Football Federation’s Women’s Wing has been selected as a member of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup organizing committee.
A statement by FIFA general secretary Jermoe Valcke released on December 30 confirmed Kiorn’s inclusion in the organizing committee .
Due to a number of logistical and technical issues, the FIFA Executive Committee during their meeting on 16 and 17 December in Tokyo had no other option than to decide that FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2012 would no longer be staged in Uzbekistan.
Japan has been proposed as the new host for the competition. Formal confirmation of this will be made, upon receipt by FIFA of the Japanese government guarantees
