Dhaka, January 2: Dhaka Mohammedan and Team BJMC played out a goalless draw in the one of the opening day match of the Grameenphone Federation Cup at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
Team BJMC played the last 15 minute with ten men due to the sent off of defender Khan Sharif.
However Team BJMC enjoyed the upper hand in the first half and came close to a strike twice. In the 14th minute skipper Alfaz’s sidefooted shot off a square pass Nigerian Abdul Rashid Ajagun was punched for a corner by Mohammedan goalie and in the 39th minute Alfaz’s dangerous low cross for Rashid was timely fisted away by a diving Titumir.
After the break the both the team spent most of the time in the midfield and kept making the half chances. BJMC defender Khan Sharif was sent off in the 75th minute as he hit Mohammedan forward Wahed off the ball.
