Russell face Arambagh in last QF
Dhaka, January 17: Sheikh Russell KC will face Arambagh KS in the fourth and last quarterfinal of the Grameenphone Federation Cup at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 2:30 pm on Wednesday.
Sheikh Russell coach Maruful Haque was in a serious mood at his practice session. “No matter who the opponent is a quarterfinal is always a pressure match, it’s a knock out situation and we have to be in our best, my players are motivated to win the match with perfect teamwork, continuing the consistency and improving for the upcoming challenges will be my lone goal, we will take the field to win and I have told the players it will not come easily” said Maruf.
Sheikh Russel is free of any injury problems.
Kazi Jolly, the coach of Arambagh vowed to fight till the end. “We will focus on winning the match with a 4-4-2 formation and quick counter attacks, Skh. Russel is a good side and we know our limitations, however negative football is not in our menu, we want to win the quarterfinal” said Kazi Jolly. However, he will miss his Cameroonian midfielder Kevin Battopen due to injury.
The winner of the last quarterfinal will play against the winner of Sheikh Jamal vs Abahani quarterfinal.
