BJMC-MuktiJoddha ready to fire
Dhaka, January 19: Team BJMC and Muktojoddha KC lock horns in the 1st semifinal of the Grameenphone Federation Cup at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 4:00 pm on Friday.
It will be re-match between the teams who were placed in the same group and the duel was won by Team BJMC by 3-2 margin. However none of the teams are taking anything granted on a new day and a new match.
Team BJMC has never played in the final of the Federation Cup till its inception
in 1980 while Muktijoddha has played in the final four times winning two times and finishing runners-up on the other two occasions.
Muktijoddha coach Shafiqul Islam Manik was cautious about his teams approach. “They beat us in the group stage and we are very serious about not committing the same mistakes, BJMC is strong in all department and we are ready to face a hard challenge, I will not say that I will be taking revenge rather I will say that we want to win and be in the final by winning the semifinal with our best efforts” said Manik.
His counterpart Zakaria Babu was also ready to win. “We are motivated to win the semifinal and reach the final of the very first tournament in our arrival,. the win against Muktijoddha in the group phase was will be motivating us and we believe when we have beaten then once why cant we do it again” said Babu.
Emily, Mithun, Sunday Chizoba will be Muktijoddha’s main weapon while Ajagoun Abdul Rashid, Ismael Bangoura and Alfaz are the flag carriers of Team BJMC
