BFF closes new foreign registration
Dhaka, Jan 26: Bangladesh Football Federation officially turned down the applications of six Bangladesh Premier League clubs about new foreign player registrations on Thursday.
Six, clubs, defending Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Jamal, Sheikh Russell, Arambagh, Farashganj, Rahmatganj and Dhaka Mohammedans wrote to BFF about allowing them to register new foreign players though the transfer window was closed on December 15.
The FIFA players registration statute clause no 6.1 says that a player may be registered if they are not registered to any other club prior to the last date of registration but the sporting integrity of the relevant competition should be considered.
