Barisal Academy Looks Closer
Dhaka. January 30th : Bangladesh Football Federation hopes to start the construction work of the Barisal football academy with the fund of FIFA very soon.
In an executive committee meeting presided over by Kazi Salahuddin at the BFF House on Monday BFF expressed satisfaction over the progress of the installation of the Asrto-turf in the Arambagh Balu Math and depending upon the progress BFF hopes that the job will be finished at the end of the April.
BFF now waits for the final feedback from FIFA to start the work of the Barisal Football Academy. Fifa objected about the clause inserted by government that it may re-take the possession of the academy land any time. Later the government agreed that if they want to take the academy they will issue a notice at least six months. BFF thought the obstacle has been removed and now it can proceed to approach Fifa for the fund.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin will sit with the high-ups of the governments on February 6th to discuss the option of arranging resources for running the Sylhet BKSP.
The meeting unanimously decided that BFF will be trying all their best to keep the voting rights of the DFA’s in the next election scheduled to be held on April next. Vice presidents Badal Roy and Kazi Nabil Ahmed were included in the committee to look after the issue alongwith Harunur Rashid, Anwarul Huq Helal and Sirajul Islam Bachchu.
