U23 boys reach Qatar

Dhaka, July 12: The Bangladesh national U23 football team has reached safely to the Al Hamad International Airport, Qatar at 3 pm in order to play a friendly match against the Qatar U23 side.

The team is currently staying at the Warwick Hotel in Doha, the capital of Qatar, where players freshened up quickly and attended a pool recovery session with assistant coach Mahabub Hossain Roksy.

Earlier, the team had left Nepal at 11:45 pm (local time) after playing a friendly match against the Nepal U23 side which the Red and Greens lost by a narrow margin.

As a preparation for the upcoming AFC U23 championship qualifiers, the team will stay in Doha for a 3-day training camp and play their last friendly match before the main tournament.

The coach and the players are hopeful that these friendly matches and practice sessions will prepare the team for some good results in the qualifiers.

Bangladeshi boys will leave for Palestine from Doha to play the qualifying round of the AFC U23 Championship 2018.

Bangladesh are in in group E of the qualifying round where they will face Jordan, Tajikistan and hosts Palestine.
